Why cd replaced vinyl.

I say early 90s vinyl was being replaced by cassette tapes on the late 80s on early 90s the cds start to replace the tapes and i say about 1994 1996 cds simply took over the market for the past few yearswe have seen how digital recording are slowly replacing the cds. The new players are designed to plug into. It was as if the switch was on. Released on cd in may 1985 the hit album became a musical mainstay and vinyl fans and audiophiles began to purchase cd players in droves to adopt the growing format.

The 2020s have officially begun but based on the music. The space given over to vinyl meanwhile had expanded and pushed into cd territory. The 12cm optical disc became the biggest money spinner the music industry had ever seen or will ever be likely to see. Cd sales overtook vinyl in 1988 and cassettes in 1991.

The set up reminded me of how record shops looked in the 80s when cds first moved in on vinyl. Digital records lack the distortion customarily found on lps in loud passages and near the end of a side when the sound is unnaturally compressed. Cds on the other hand have been on the decline. To say cds have lost their cool factor is a little bit of understatement.

Vinyl is at the perfect age. Their sales have dropped by 95 percent since 2000 the peak days of cds according to a new report and are currently at their lowest level since 1986.
