Window tinting is easier to work with and the adhesive is more pliable when it is a sunny day and the temperature is at least 75 degrees.

Quickly squeegee out the air bubbles starting at the center of the window and working out. Spray the window with water then peel the backing from the tint film and position it on the wet glass. Next you want to mist the window in need of repair with warm room temperature water to get it slightly damp. Window tint repair and installation is a fairly tedious process requiring precision and the use of tools that can flatten the tint and heat that will help it adhere again to your windows.

Grab a commercial glass cleaning spray. Wait for a sunny warm day. Cut a square of new tint in the same color and shade as the old material remaining on your window. The new piece should be at least one inch larger on all sides than the square piece you removed.

The average weekend tint technician can repair peeling tint film in about 30 minutes. Open the door on your vehicle and spray the tint down with your glass cleaner. Cut a section of tint slightly larger than the entire window. Really soak the tint to get the entire window soapy and wet.

Automotive window tint film can peel as the glue dries out and hardens from exposure. Make sure not to soak the window tint adhesive just get it moist. If you applied the tint yourself or it is out of warranty decide if you want to repair it yourself or hire a professional. The tint film can be repaired selectively replaced or entirely reapplied.

Flatten the bubbles in window tint after the window tint has been warmed up and dampened carefully poke a tiny hole in each bubble with a small straight pin. Spray the inside of the window down with glass cleaner.
